Peter Bennett joined Solar Media in December 2011 as Junior Editor of Solar Power Portal. Upon graduating from Newcastle University with an honours degree in Marketing, he applied his knowledge to the solar industry by joining a leading international solar company as Marketing Executive. During his time with the company, he witnessed the introduction of the feed-in tariff and the consequent explosion of the UK solar industry. Since joining Solar Power Portal, Peter has gained an in-depth knowledge of the solar industry, both UK-specific and global, and is a regular reporter on both Solar Power Portal, its sister publication, Solar Business Focus UK, as well as global online news and information resource, PV-Tech.org.
