    Taunton’s College has had a 3.92kWp solar PV system installed by Southern Solar as part of the continued refurbishment of the college science block. The solar array will not only reduce the college’s utility bills and lower its carbon emissions; it will also be used in science lessons to help improve students’ understanding of solar energy and the benefit of renewable energy generation.

    St John’s C of E church at Farsley, Leeds, has installed 16 solar panels on its roof, reports the Yorkshire Evening Post. The church, which was donated £11,000 by an anonymous member of the congregation, will use the feed-in tariff payments to raise money for church funds.

    EOS Energy installed a total of 2.59kWp for Dave Wise, Councillor for Southam, who wanted to utilise the solar power in order to bring his bills and carbon footprint down. The system is expected to generate an income of over £800 a year as well as cutting his electricity charges by £200 per annum.

  • EOS completes 3.82kW system for Hill Close Garden Centre

    Warwickshire-based solar specialist EOS Energy completed a 3.82kWp solar panel installation for Hill Close Garden Centre in Warwick in May 2011. Visitors to the Centre will soon be able to view the rooftop installation close-up as plans to install safety equipment go through.
