Tools of the Trade in Bromsgrove is now benefitting from renewable energy thanks to the installation of a 50kWp solar array on its roof.

The system, installed by Sparktron Ltd from Croydon with design assistance from Libra Energy, utilises Italian-manufactured Solsonica 250W modules which are coupled with three Chinese-manufactured GoodWe 17kW inverters. The system was secured to the roof using Clenergy’s trapezoidal mounting system.

Commenting on the company's new solar installation, Tools of the Trade’s financial controller Zoe Williams said: “We did it equally for environmental responsibility and energy saving cost reasons. The installation was straightforward, so we are a happy, green micro-generation station.”

The system is estimated to produce over 42,000kWh a year, negating the emission of over 500 tonnes of CO2 in the process.

Libra Energy general manager, Paul Bradbury, added: “It was a pleasure to be of assistance in winning the job and to supply quality equipment that will give the customer great returns at a competitive price.”

Libra Energy also revealed that it will soon be launching its new ‘Libra Pulse’ design software and that it will be carrying out training sessions for interested installers.
