UK Solar Kits have produced a calculator to assist newly qualified installers of solar photovoltaics (PV) to meet the system performance requirement of the MCS Solar PV document.
Typical practice sees installers using the Standard Assessment Procedure (SAP) to produce an estimation of annual energy performance of the system they plan to install. With the Solar PV Calculator, a one page PDF report is created for installers to include in quotation packages.
Oliver Todd, Director of UK Solar Kits explains: “Customers have commented favourably on the easy to use interface and simple report feature, saving them time when having to include a SAP estimation within each quote to their home owner customers”.
UK Solar Kits have also produced customised tools for installers to use on their tablet PCs and websites, allowing potential customers to experiment with different size systems.
