International solar photovoltaic manufacturer REC has awarded UK distributor Carbomat with their prestigious ‘Platinum Partner’ status. The Surrey-based installer is the first UK partner to receive REC’s Platinum Partner status.

The news follows the launch of the REC Solar Professional Programme in the UK. The program includes warranty extension and service fees for those who comply. Craig Bilboe, Regional Sales Manager of Carbomat added: “The REC Solar Professional Programme has been running in mainland Europe for some time but has recently been launched here in the UK. Individual Installers had to be sponsored by Carbomat UK, agree to the REC Solar Professional Program guidelines, and be able to demonstrate their expertise.”
The REC ‘Preferred Professional Installer’ status is future-proofed by an annual re-certification programme which ensures a partner adheres to the same code of practice as when the partnership first began.
