Glasgow-based Absolute Solar and Wind is expanding its footprint in the north of Scotland by opening new premises in Inverness and Aberdeen.
The company has experienced significant growth over the last 12 months and hopes to capitalise on consumer interest by opening two new premises. The new offices will not only provide office-based positions but Absolute are also set to employ more system installers who will be on hand at each new operating base to fit renewable energy solutions such as solar PV panels, micro-wind turbines and solar thermal systems.
Sales and Marketing Director Terry Doherty said: “We are very excited to be branching into Inverness and Aberdeen. Over the last year we’ve been getting more and more enquiries in the north and north east, and as we have a network of trained installers throughout the country we were able to service these enquiries.
“However, it was becoming apparent that we needed to expand and have permanent bases in these areas in order to accommodate the increase in business.”
The Inverness office will be headed up manager Alan French. French said: “We are delighted to be taking the Absolute brand to Inverness and to be bringing new jobs to the area. Business is already booming in the north and we expect this to continue throughout 2012.”
The company is also expanding into the east of Scotland, with a new office in Livingston set to open shortly. Absolute’s English-based operation, which covers the south and Midlands, has also moved to larger premises in Ipswich this month.
Doherty added: “Despite the uncertainty in the market caused by the change in feed-in tariff fees we are seeing the business continue to grow, with more interest in solar panelling than ever before.
“We remain committed to moving the solar PV market forward. Investing in renewable energy solutions is not only an environmental decision, but a practical one which will benefit companies and homeowners for years to come.”
