Baroness Verma, member of the House of Lords and Parliamentary under secretary of state for energy and climate change, has confirmed her participation in Solar Media’s Large-Scale Solar UK Conference.

Verma will outline the opportunities available for exporting British solar expertise to international markets during her minister’s address. Baroness Verma joins more than 70 speakers sharing the stage at the conference, which runs from 28-30 April at the Thistle Bristol City Centre Hotel.

Tom Heap, the BBC’s Rural Affairs Correspondent (and presenter of Countryfile) will moderate the conference on Wednesday, closing the day with a panel discussion about UK solar in the run up to the General Election. Delegates and panelists will discuss what the solar industry should be lobbying for and how it should respond to different election outcomes.

Set in Bristol, European Green Capital of 2015, Large-Scale Solar UK promises to be a fantastic event that will showcase the huge strides the UK solar industry has taken to date. As the industry now looks towards rooftop installations in line with the government’s Solar Strategy, this event is perfectly poised to showcase new large-scale solar opportunities.
