German PV company Conergy has successfully installed four solar plants in the UK with a total installed capacity of 39MW.
Construction of the portfolio commenced in late 2013 and continued all the way through this year, including during the record-breaking stretch of rain in January and February that caused crippling flooding throughout parts of Southern England.
While the flooding disrupted the installation of many PV projects, Conergy worked through the adverse weather and successfully completed all four projects before the 1 April 2014 deadline that saw the renewable obligation rate (RO) drop from 1.6 ROCs to 1.4 ROCs.

The PV facilities, located in Great Yarmouth (14MW), Dorset (18MW) and Cardiff (7MW), are now operational and producing enough energy to power 12,000 homes. The portfolio is expected to reduce carbon emissions by an estimated 344,000 tonnes over the next 20 years.
Conergy developed the projects with Camborne Energy, while investment company Primrose Solar will own and operate the four plants.
