ET Solar has announced that it will be introducing new 260W and 265W iterations of its newly-launched black-on-black modules in the UK.
The Chinese solar manufacturer launched its ET Black Module range, which currently ranges from 235W-255W, in the UK at the end of last year. The success of the range has prompted ET Solar to work on introducing higher capacity versions of the Black Module.
Speaking to Solar Power Portal, Patrick Guo, Vice President of Sales and Marketing said that ET Solar is focusing on the UK residential market because more than 50% of installs are still in the residential market. Guo stressed that ET Solar was the second company to gain MCS-accreditation in the UK and has supported the UK market throughout.
“With the drop in FiT and the reduction in costs, we see the market as more stable because if the return is too high, the market is not stable. The market struggled last year because of the scale of reduction in FiT rate. This year people will be more accepting of the cuts because they are much smaller.”
“Just this morning we met with customers who are very positive about the UK residential market. ET Solar treats the UK as a low-risk market that is very stable. The residential market remains very attractive.”
Guo also told Solar Power Portal that the company has plans to launch an AC module in the UK later in the year, following a successful partnership with microinverter Enphase in the United States.
