Harlow-based panel manufacturer Hitech Solar is to launch three new products and future concepts at this year’s Solar Energy UK show when it kicks off at Birmingham’s NEC next week.

The new products are being unveiled as Hitech has announced plans to scale up production at its Essex manufacturing plant to 50MW by 2016, a move which the company has said “defies the feed-in tariff cuts”.

The company said its long-term goal was to reduce panel costs in the UK to “ensure more efficient, smaller and technologically advanced panels” are available to the market, and it aims to differentiate itself from the market by offering panels manufactured in the UK.

Hitech will also be demonstrating BIPV modules integrated into windows and coloured cells at the show, and the company can be visited at stand C20.
