Germany-based solar developer ib vogt is working with Chinese solar manufacturer Hanwha SolarOne to complete two new large-scale solar projects in the UK.

Hanwha SolarOne shipped a total of 16MW for two ib vogt PV projects: a 6.2MW park in Cornwall and a 9.8MW park in Kent.

The projects are expected to generate a combined 16,300MWh of clean electricity every year. Both projects are expected to be connected to the grid in March, allowing them to take advantage of the higher RO rate before 1 April.

Commenting on the new developments, Anton Milner, managing director of ib vogt said: “Our cooperation with the Hanwha SolarOne team has been characterised by an open and direct communication, which has created mutual trust. Through its reliable delivery and high-quality products, Hanwha SolarOne has proven to be a strong partner for our large-scale PV projects in the United Kingdom and in Germany.”

The two projects build on the relationship that saw the two companies work together last autumn to construct a 5MW park on the Isle of Wight and another 5MW park in Sussex.
