Diverter manufacturer Powerdiverter will be exhibiting its “next generation” of diverter products to Solar Energy UK, which gets underway tomorrow at Birmingham’s NEC.

The company’s original product was launched in March last year but the new generation now comes integrated with Lightwave RF’s home automation system, allowing households to have better management and control over the excess energy generated by solar PV installations.

The Powerdiverter 2 allows customers to remotely monitor and control multiple loads and thresholds, diverting excess energy to heating, storage heaters, air conditioning units and even to turn on energy-intensive appliances such as washing machines or tumble dryers.

“Powerdiverter is leading the way in delivering fully-automated control of excess energy from solar PV to home owners and business. The new Powerdiverter deals with unlimited loads and scheduling, it provides the missing piece between renewables and batteries,” said Michael Yeoman, commercial director at Powerdiverter.
