The Renewables Infrastructure Group (TRIG) has completed the acquisition of a 7.2MW solar farm from RES.

The Four Burrows Solar Park, which shares a connection with an RES wind farm, was connected in January and marked the firm’s first UK solar project. It is registered for 1.4ROCs.

The deal, worth around £8.6 million, takes TRIG’s portfolio to approximately 446MW across the UK, France and Ireland.

“We are pleased to announce the addition of a further solar PV project to the TRIG portfolio taking our portfolio total to 30 projects,” said Richard Crawford of InfraRed Capital Partners, TRIG's investment manager.

“With a strong base of 30 fully operational onshore wind and solar PV projects in the UK, Ireland and France, TRIG is well-positioned to provide investors with the benefits of further scale and diversification through judicious portfolio acquisitions in our markets of focus,” added Crawford.

The project uses ReneSola modules.
