Canada-based Schneider Electric more than doubled its solar PV capacity in the UK throughout the first three months of 2015 after connecting over 300MW of additional capacity to the grid.

The solar developer added to its previous capacity of 200MW before the end of the 1.4ROC deadline at the end of March and completed more than 20 separate installations in the time frame.

Schneider collaborated with seven different EPC companies in order to complete the work on time and Pierre-Emmanuel Frot, head of global sales for Schneider Electric’s power plants business, said it was crucial to meet the deadlines in the UK.

“Many customers trusted in our ability to make it happen, and we are proud to have met their expectations, despite the difficulties of delivering and commissioning so many equipment,” he added.
