This year’s Solar & Storage Live exhibition has been delayed till December 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The exhibition, which takes place annually at the Birmingham NEC, has been moved from the 15–17 September to the 2– 4 December 2020.

The accompanying awards show, which will be held at the Hilton Metropole NEC, has also been moved to the 3 December. The deadline for the awards has been shifted to 19 June following the announcement.

Writing on social media site LinkedIn, business development manager for Solar & Storage Live, Tom Moon, said: “The health and safety of our exhibitors, speakers, visitors & staff remains our primary concern and rescheduling the event will allow us to maintain the value and quality of this industry-leading event”.

A number of other events have also been cancelled and postponed across the solar sector, including Intersolar Europe 2020 which has been cancelled and SNEC 2020, which has been rearranged for October.

Solar Power Portal publisher Solar Media’s own events have gone digital, with Large Scale Solar Digital taking place this week.
