A busy week for UK solar on the policy front saw a significant development relating to the European Commission’s anti-dumping duties on Chinese solar imports. Meanwhile, the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy has been busy releasing details of further support for energy storage and other smart energy technologies amidst a new industrial strategy. But it hasn’t been all good news for BEIS as the department has failed to commit to a timeframe for its forthcoming emissions reduction plan as it looks like slipping later into 2017.
