This week got off to a great start for the solar industry with news that solar generation on Saturday afternoon not only sent transmission system demand below the previous night’s minimum for the first time, but forced National Grid to curtail coal and gas generation. It was a landmark occasion for UK solar, and one that only stands to be repeated as we move further into spring and summer.
