SolarFields UK has the lofty ambition of becoming the UK’s largest investment opportunity in solar energy.
Setup by property investment specialist, Andrew Freeth, SolarFields UK, a trading name of Renewable Energy Projects Ltd, is looking for 1,000 sites across the UK to develop roof-mounted arrays and ground-mounted arrays.
The company is looking to complete projects sized between 10kW and 10MW and will provide a guaranteed yield for each project as well as a CCTV and real-time monitoring of the array.
SolarFields UK is hoping to raise in excess of £300 million of investment in order to install its long-term target of over one million solar panels in the next five years. The company will target high net-worth individuals, equity managers as well as institutional investors to raise ongoing investment.
The company claims that is has a pipeline of projects in excess of 20MW and expects to have around 3MW of capacity under management by the end of the year.
