PV manufacturer Trina Solar has revealed that it has successfully connected two solar farms in the UK.
The two projects are located in Cornwall and Dorset and total 23.77MW of capacity. The Chinese manufacturer was an investor in and sole project developer for both of the projects.
The pair were connected in time to claim the higher 1.6ROC rate in March 2014 – equivalent to £42.02/MWh. The project utilises the company’s PC05A 255Wp modules which are expected to generate around 24,600MWh of electricity annually.

The solar farms are expected to negate the emission of over 16,500 tonnes of carbon, providing enough energy to power 7,477 in the process.
