Viridian Solar has penned another distribution deal outside of the UK, this time clinching an exclusive agreement in Norway.

Having passed European fire tests last month, Viridian has now sealed an exclusive distribution agreement for its Clearline Fusion panels with Norwegian firm Enco.

Headquartered in Tønsberg, Enco, a division of the Xpert group of companies, supplies solar, EV charging solutions and other energy technologies for both residential and commercial buildings throughout Norway.

Viridian staff recently conducted product training at the firm’s headquarters and were present for the first installation of Clearline Fusion systems in the country.

Jamie Berryman, sales director at Viridian Solar, lauded both Norway’s high penetration of vehicles and surging demand for solar as evidence of the two technologies being highly complementary.

“Houses here have large roofs and consumers seem to want large systems with aesthetic built-in solar. We have been impressed by the enthusiasm and professionalism of Enco AS and look forward to working with them in Norway,” he said.

The deal comes around six months after Viridian secured a similar agreement with Dutch solar distributor Solarclarity.

Kim Olsen, chief executive at Enco, said the firm “immediately” saw “huge possibilities” of what the two could achieve in the Norwegian market.

“We think the Clearline fusion integrated solar roofing system will fit perfectly in the Norwegian market, especially when the system has the T2 Fire Classification. This put together with Viridian Solar's professionalism and willingness to cooperate, we are sure this will be a successful PV solution in Norway,” he added.
