Clynder Solaflex: Connecting you to the Sun

Clynder Cables has developed “Clynder Solaflex” cable in order to meet the appropriate requirements needed from an outdoor high performance cable. The cable is manufactured specifically for solar PV installations, featuring a flexible tinned copper conductor with UV resistant double insulated LFSOH jacket that makes it extremely durable against external influences.

As the market is in its infancy no official standards exist, whereas in some countries, for instance Germany and France, there are additional documents for guidance about cables however these are not full standards.

“As a UK manufacturer we have followed such market leading standards but also made the cable more relevant to the UK market in terms of colour, as best practice would be to use brown and grey cable which eliminates the need to tag the cables for identification purposes. For installers who require black PV cable we can also offer this as a standard product,” explained Clynder.
