IFS Cloud is to power EDF Renewables UK and Ireland’s enterprise asset management, with this including Operations and Maintenance (O&M) and contract management.

EDF Renewables UK and Ireland – a joint venture between EDF Renewables Group and EDF Energy – specialises in solar, battery storage and wind.

Other elements of the enterprise asset management include work order management and mobile workforce management.

As IFS Cloud is a single platform with a single data model supported by asset performance management, Internet of Things (IoT), mobile work execution and live dashboards and KPIs, the company is able to provide end-to-end visibility across multiple organisational structures and business units, IFS said.

“Using IFS Cloud will enable us to optimise the quality and utilisation of our assets, as well as create shareholder value through improved information flows,” said Piero Maggio, director of asset operations, EDF Renewables UK and Ireland, adding the platform is a “key part” of the company’s future growth strategy.

In November, EDF Renewables submitted a planning application for its 49.9MW Bloy’s Grove solar farm, which was first announced in November 2020. Last year also saw EDF Renewables announce it is targeting a 1GW development pipeline of onshore renewables in Ireland.
