Siliken, the Spanish PV module manufacturer, has obtained Microgeneration Certification Scheme (MCS) accreditation for its solar product range. The certificate, which has been granted by the British Board of Agreément (BBA), means that Siliken’s modules are now eligible under the UK’s feed-in tariff scheme.

BBA performed audits in Siliken’s production plants located in Rafelbuñol and Casas Ibañez, Spain. The inspection organisation verified that the modules had certificates in accordance with the IEC 61215 and IEC 61730 standards, as well as the TÜV certificate.

The MCS certificate, which is acknowledged by the Standard Assessment Procedure (SAP) for classifying energy in British homes, is an internationally recognised quality assurance programme which assesses everything from design to installation of microgeneration renewable technologies, and certifies that the products meet the demanding standards.
