Sungrow has announced that it installed more than 100MW of inverters in the UK throughout the 1.3 ROC rush in Q1, leading the manufacturer to be confident of future success in the market.
The company said it installed a mixture of string and central inverters in the period prior to the ROC deadline on 31 March, which saw developers and EPCs rushed to complete projects in time. The completions take Sungrow's total deployment quota in the UK to 260MW, and its chief executive Cao Renxian paid testament to the company’s R&D department when speaking of the success.
“Sungrow always focuses on technical innovation with over 35% of our employees in the R&D department. We will offer better products and services to the UK’s customers,” he said.
Last month Solar Media’s in-house research team reported that Huawei had grabbed a dominant share of the UK ground-mount inverter market, owing to a change in typical site sizes and the trend towards string inverters over central units.
