A Day in the Country, an award-winning provider of corporate hospitality and activity days in Aynho, near Banbury, has installed a free-standing 23kWp solar array.
Owners Richard and Jerry Stephenson approached Myriad CEG to help the business reduce its carbon footprint and utility bills. The system, which consists of 104 Sharp 220W panels, is estimated to produce 19,640kWh a year, providing a return on the initial investment in just seven years. The solar array will also save 10 tonnes of CO2 from entering the atmosphere, the equivalent of five return flights from London to Tokyo.
Jerry Stephenson, Managing Director of A Day in the Country said: “We chose a great partner in Myriad Solar. They made it easy for us to adjust our thinking from wind to solar and to make it happen.
“We were impressed with the quality and professionalism of their team at every stage, particularly in the installation when they literally worked around the clock to deliver it on time and on budget.”
