An accredited course for installers on how to specify and fit battery storage is now on offer as part of a partnership between AceOn and GTEC.
The two signed a deal earlier this year to deliver industry-accredited training for AceOn’s customers and clients in installing the technology.
The training will cover AceOn’s private and public sector partners, with the company stating that its virtual power plant (VPP) has attracted huge attention from social housing providers and local authorities since its launch last November.
The Renewergy VPP system utilises batteries from German firm BMZ and inverters from Italian company Delios, and boasts an efficiency greater than 97% with two independent MPPT trackers, which AceOn said helps to create maximum yield from the PV element in all conditions.
The new training will utilise AceOn's equipment and is to initially be available at GTEC’s Yorkshire centre, with them also to be held at the Pump House in Shrewsbury from September.
“As well as helping the country meet its legal obligation to be carbon neutral by 2050 and protecting the environment for future generations, this new partnership will help us to create new jobs and prosperity as the green revolution grows,” said Mark Thompson, AceOn founder.
