German Solar PV under-construction specialist, Altec Solartechnik, has added to its recently established offices in Greece and Italy by launching a UK-based subsidiary – Altec Solar Ltd.
Altec Solar’s central warehouse and technical sales base are now fully operational in Coventry. The mounting system manufacturer chose to be based in the Midlands because of convenient transport links. Altec’s decision was reinforced after consultation with business experts at the University of Warwick Science Park as part of their UK Access Programme.
Altec Solartechnik was started 18 years ago in Crispendorf, East Germany and operates throughout Europe. Karsten Dahms, Managing Director of ALTEC Solar Ltd, said: “The early signs have been very positive since we set up over here. I believe that, provided market stability can be maintained, there is going to be continued and strong demand in the UK for quality mounting products.”
Altec Solar Ltd will be showcasing its range of aluminium and stainless steel mounting hardware at this year's Ecobuild.
