Following the enticing introduction of feed-in tariffs back in April, Centrosolar has established an international subsidiary in the UK. Centrosolar UK Ltd. will be in a position to respond to increased demand for photovoltaic systems, particularly in England.
In order to run the new office with experience, the company has recruited solar specialist Simon Gerrard, who has been working in the solar industry for seven years, most recently as head of Domestic Sales for one of the leading British solar companies.
In the crystalline segment, Centrosolar uses solar modules exclusively manufactured at the group's own Sonnenstromfabrik plant in Wismar, Germany. The company has also applied for certification under the Microgeneration Certification Scheme (MCS), and it passed the required inspection of production operations at the end of August.
The UK branch, which will be located near London, is Centrosolar’s ninth branch outside Germany.
