AZUR Solar Systems has announced the opening of its new UK head office, visitor and distribution centre located in Slough, Berkshire. The launch of the company’s UK focus, which was celebrated on the eve of ecobuild, is part of AZUR’s expansion programme aimed at bringing affordable and efficient solar energy production to both commercial and domestic customers.

The UK subsidiary began serious operations in October 2010 due to favourable business opportunities in the UK including the generous feed-in tariff. AZUR has since made significant investment into the market, alongside the new premises and the appointment of over 20 new full-time sales and project managers.

“Solar energy is proven to be the way forward for clean, efficient, economic and ecologically sustainable energy production. UK customers now also appreciate and understand the benefits achieved by the latest generation of PV panels – hence our timely expansion into this market,” stated Robert Markus Feldmann, Managing Director, AZUR SOLAR Systems.

“AZUR SOLAR supplies a technologically advanced, quality solar PV system at an affordable price, which will also deliver real savings and a revenue stream for our trade and end user customers. What’s more this solution will both help end users reduce their exposure to ever increasing energy costs plus enable them to be more carbon natural,” continued Feldmann.

The company expects to deliver a number of large turnkey solutions to be installed on commercial property roofs during 2011. These project packages, which are typically are aimed at industrial and commercial users looking for a medium-to-large-scale solution, include technical planning, complete project financing and equipment procurement, with installation delivered in partnership with AZUR Solar accredited installation partners.

AZUR Solar’s Distribution team is also looking to expand its network of accredited installation and distribution partners across the UK and will then supply kits, modules, components and mounting systems, through to complete installation kits for them to market to their customers. These kits are delivered in a single consignment to site and are offered in multiple variants, each one containing between six and 18 solar modules (each measuring 1655x992mm) plus all the necessary components from the generation meter and inverter through to the roof mounting rails, solar cables and even all the screws needed.

“We work closely with our partners at all levels in the supply chain, providing them with a complete support service to ensure a hassle-free sales, installation and operation process. AZUR SOLAR also believes in leading from the front and is just completing the installation of a generation system on our own roof so that we can benefit from the advantages this technology delivers,” concluded Feldmann.
