Balfour Beatty Infrastructure Partners (BBIP) has bought 20MW of solar assets from project developer Anesco.
The BBIP fund has bought three solar farms in Radstock and Culm Head in Somerset, and Codford St Mary in Wiltshire.
Anesco will continue to manage the sites under a 20-year agreement through its AnescoMeter service.
“We’re delighted to have switched on another three solar farms for BBIP, which makes a total of six that they have purchased from us,” said Adrian Pike, CEO, Anesco.
“Our strategy to develop sites in the winter months and build them in summer/autumn has paid dividends due to the unforeseen weather conditions in the UK,” added Pike.
It’s the second round of solar assets BBIP has bought from Anesco.
“We are pleased to deliver on our stated strategy for this investment company of building out a diversified, operating and defensive portfolio asset for the BBIP fund,” said Rob Gregor, managing partner, BBIP.
