Larkfleet Group companies Lark Energy and FE Peacock Construction have completed a solar photovoltaics installation at Limes Farm in Bourne, Lincolnshire.

A total of 82 solar panels, supplied by Larkfleet Group’s specialised builders’ merchant, Eco Building Products, were installed on the farm’s barn roof, generating a total installed capacity of 18.9kWp.

While generating free renewable electricity for the farm, the farmer will also benefit from the feed-in tariff (FiT).

FE Peacock Managing Director Karl Hick said, “This installation demonstrates the potential of PV for the agricultural sector – and indeed for any industrial operation with a large roof. We are delighted with the success of this project and look forward to working on many more in the future.”

Working with Lark Energy, FE Peacock offers a wide range of energy-saving retrofit solutions including solar photovoltaic panels, insulation of roofs, floors and external walls and the installation of mechanical ventilation and heat recovery.
