BayWa r.e. has confirmed the buyout of Hampshire-based solar wholesaler, Metgen Ltd.
The company says that the deal allows the Munich-headquartered company greater access to a key customer base on the irradiance-rich south coast through Metgen’s previous customers.
Ian Draisey, managing director of BayWa r.e. described the buyout as a “very positive step for all concerned”. He continued: “Through a combination of our product range and in-depth technical support , I am confident that we will be ideally positioned to carry on and advance the support and service that Metgen has provided over the years. Our challenge now is to prove this to Metgen’s customers – I am confident that they will be satisfied with our service and see working with us as ‘business as usual'.”
Ed Webb, managing director of Metgen added that the deal allows the company to offer “services specifically tailored for our customers and their businesses”.
“BayWa r.e. buys into the Metgen philosophy of customer care and personal service, and we believe that BayWa r.e. will ideally support our customers through this changing times,” concluded Webb.
