Photovoltaic module manufacturer BISOL has obtained upgraded international certificate IEC 61215 Ed. 2.0 for its product range, as well as receiving accreditation for new power classes up to 269Wp, providing consumers with more energy per installation.
By achieving a higher power output, BISOL’s 269Wp modules maximise the roof space available for the PV system, making them idea for the UK’s burgeoning residential market.
During the certification process BISOL PV modules undertook and passed numerous persistence assessments including the hot spot effect test, which examines individual modules using an infrared camera to show damaged solar cells or cells with a reduced energy output.
BISOL Group received the upgraded certificate, which is valid until May 2014, from Austrian Electrotechnical Association. All tests were performed by Austrian laboratory OFPZ Arsenal.
All BISOL modules are certified for use in the UK under the Microgeneration Certification Scheme (MCS).
