Bisol has debuted its new EasyMount high-density polyethylene (HDPE) base which the company claims is capable of installation times up to eight times faster than traditional methods.
Bisol believes that such a dramatic reduction in installation times is possible because of the HDPE’s incredibly easy installation steps: first the HDPE bases are laid, then PV modules are placed between bases and finally; modules are locked-in and secured with round plugs.
The HDPE base is also extremely lightweight, does not require roof penetration and is made from recyclable material. The high-density polyethylene used in the product allows the EasyMount solution to better complement the environmental credentials of the solar photovoltaic array.
With a weight of only 5.5 kilograms per piece it provides a solution with very little material underneath the modules and enables a more natural air flow, hence efficient cooling of the photovoltaic modules as well.
