Two solar parks, totalling 42MW have been sold to Bluefield Solar Income Fund (BSIF) by WIRSOL Energy, a company that works with both wind and solar markets. The sales had been previously announced by BSIF last week but no further details had been provided.
The first project is Roves Farm, Wiltshire and is a 13MW solar park. The second is Elms Farm, Oxfordshire, a 29W solar park now finishing up construction. According to the companies, both parks should qualify for 1.4ROCs.
According to Peter Vest, managing director of WIRCON, the UK and the various projects the company has lined up in the market including the two solar parks, will remain the company’s focus despite their attempts at expanding into an international market.
Mike Rand, a partner of Bluefield Partners remarked that because of the success of the two companies working together on these two solar parks, the companies are “discussing extending their relationship to work on further projects together”.
