International solar developer Canadian Solar has revealed it completed six solar farms last month, taking its operational capacity in the UK past the 100MW barrier.
The six plants had a combined operational capacity of 39.4MW, bringing Canadian Solar’s total portfolio capacity to around 103MW.
All six farms were connected to the grid prior to last month’s ROC deadline and are eligible to receive 1.3ROCs.
Shawn Qu, chief executive at Canadian Solar, said: “We remain committed to leveraging our industry-leading position and expertise in solar project development to meet the growing demand of clean solar energy in the UK and around the world.”
The announcement comes after the company energised five new plants in Q4 2015 and follows the securing of a £19.2 million loan to develop solar projects in the UK.
