Adding to the number of solar installations completed before the December 12 deadline, the National Trust’s 37.5kWp project is now generating renewable energy in Wales. Delivered by Dulas, the ground-mounted system at the Grade I listed Llanerchaeron property has been combined with the Trust’s existing 7.5kWp solar PV array.

The Sheffield Fire and Rescue Command Centre on Eyre St in the centre of Sheffield has had a 10kWp system installed by Solar Roof Solutions. As a heavy consumer of electricity, the 10kWp installation will help the fire station to significantly offset carbon emissions and dramatically reduce its electricity bills.

The Scottish National Equestrian Centre (SNEC) in West Lothian has installed a large solar array in order to slash its carbon footprint, negate increasing energy price rises and benefit from feed-in tariff payments. The solar installation marks the second major green investment project on the Oatridge College estate near Broxburn.

Dinnington-based company Solar Roof Solutions Ltd has fitted a free solar PV system on the roof of Amy’s House, a local charity shop.  Run by volunteers the charity shop supports Amy’s House – a respite facility that cares for special needs children and their siblings.
