Swiss inverter manufacturer Solarmax has reached an agreement with UK-based distributor CCL.
Starting in March 2014, CCL began taking deliveries of the SolarMax P series and its MT series of string inverters.
Commenting on the deal, Paul Brooks, managing director of CCL, said: “As CCL is continuing to grow, we wanted to add another high quality, competitive, European manufactured string inverter range into our portfolio, whilst SolarMax was looking to partner with a progressive technical distributor keen to showcase its products.
“We particularly liked the battery storage upgrade option offered by the SolarMax P series range, providing installers with potential repeat business from the same customer, and end users with a future-proofed inverter.”
Andy Lycett, wholesale manager of SolarMax UK, added that the deal helps strengthen the company’s commitment to the UK market. He said: “SolarMax has undertaken a huge investment in the UK recently. This deal with CCL provides great synergy, and is a signal of intent for 2014 and beyond.”
The companies said that the deal was finalised during Ecobuild last week.
