Centrosolar UK has introduced its ‘54-cell Excellent’ module to the UK solar market. From April this year UK customers will be able to take advantage of solar panels containing four more cells than the former 50-cell panels of the ‘S-Class Excellent’ series.
The chosen layout of the 54-cell Excellent cell matrix means the efficiency is higher, giving the modules an efficiency of up to 15.1% and an output of up to 225Wp. This means that Centrosolar is able to meet the growing demand for solar modules with a high output but compact dimensions. The new version of the ‘Excellent’ module is therefore wider and shorter, resulting in improved statics and greater torsional rigidity on the roof.
Comprising 6 x 9 cells instead of the previous 5 x 10 the new module permits an efficient wiring concept that reduces the modules' internal resistance and thus improves yield.
“We are pleased to be able to offer a black, high-efficiency module that can be installed quickly and gives above average yields to the UK”, comments Simon Gerrard, Country Manager at Centrosolar UK. “It is clear to us that the domestic solar sector is becoming more knowledgeable the differences in modules available in the UK. There is a growing demand for a module that combines a high aesthetic, long product warranties and high yields. Initial feedback has been very promising.”
The Excellent Module has received full MCS accreditation.
