Dubai’s utility giant Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) is to present a number of tender opportunities for its solar ambitions at this week’s Renewable Futures event in Bath.
The utility is currently in the process of tendering for a number of key projects in the region, including the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum solar park which, at 3GW, is planned to be amongst the largest solar projects in the world.
Rooftop projects Shams Dubai and Shams Abu Dhabi have also been planned as part of a drive to make the region more renewables friendly.
DEWA currently has a pipeline of tenders it is hoping to fill and is looking to meet with companies involved in the commercial rooftop solar, smart meters, electrical vehicles and charging stations, grid connections and storage fields at the event.
Organised by environmental consultancy Regen SW, Renewable Futures takes place tomorrow at Bath’s Assembly Rooms and will be followed by the company’s Green Energy Awards.
