One of the first Green Deal Assessor courses to be undertaken has been completed. The City & Guilds 6066 course was hosted by PPL Training and saw a range of different candidates attend – from solar installers to plumbers.

The comprehensive course covered ‘real play’ scenarios, classroom based teaching and an online assessment. The course was hailed as a great success, with all eight delegates passing.

Development Director of PPL Training, Paul Seddon, said: “The course ran very smoothly and I am especially pleased with how the role play went.  This was a feature that was enjoyed by all the candidates due to the additional pressure put on them compared to normal classroom learning. Based on the success of our first course, I am now very much looking forward to the future Green Deal courses here at PPL Training.”

The course is designed to benefit all qualified Domestic Energy Assessors (DEA) and is aimed at those who will be undertaking domestic assessments when the scheme launches in October.

PPL Training will be running its Green Deal Assessor course on the following dates in the following locations:  York (July 3 ,17 ,31. Aug 7, 14 . Sept 4, 18), Reading (July 17.
