A new solar e-commerce has been launched featuring a solar design tool for installers.
Ecolution claims that the website is the first of its kind in the renewables sector, offering customers a fully-integrated framing systems designer as well as product-specific videos from the website’s partners.
In partnership with K2 Solar Mounting Solutions, Ecolution has implemented a integrated K2 planner which allows detailed designs for all systems – including domestic, commercial, flat- and pitched-roof systems. The planner even allows for wind and snow loading calculations. Once the design is finished then the individual components can be automatically added to the customer’s shopping basket.

The development of the website represented a significant investment for Ecolution who worked for more than two years to develop the order process, accounting system, warehousing, order and product status updates.
