The Energy Saving Trust’s London headquarters has been temporarily closed after a fire broke out on March 9. The Energy Saving Trust has confirmed that everyone was safely evacuated from the building and the fire was quickly contained.
The Energy Savings Trust said: “We are in regular contact with the landlord and we know for certain that staff cannot return to the office for at least one week. We have measures in place should a return take longer. Our Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland offices are unaffected by the incident. Calls to our London office are being diverted to Scotland.”
The Energy Savings Trust has acknowledged that they are experiencing temporary IT and telephone lines at the moment and London EST staff will be fully contactable soon.
The free consumer advice line service has not been affected by the fire.
