Toby Darbyshire, co-founder and Chief Executive of solar firm Engensa, has been named a winner in the MT Sky Future Leaders Awards run by the television broadcaster and business journal Management Today.
He won the “Start-up star” category in the awards, which aim to celebrate individuals who have demonstrated outstanding practice in business responsibility.
The award judges commended Darbyshire for his commitment to technological innovation and for making a sustainable lifestyle possible for homeowners.
Darbyshire said: “Having weathered the many challenges that have faced the solar industry in the UK this year, this award reflects Engensa’s determination to continue to innovate and bring to market the technology and financial tools to make sustainable, widespread solar adoption viable for all homeowners.”
Engensa was founded in 2009 and installs solar panels, heat pumps and energy efficient boilers.
