Long an industry stalwart in terms of its support of all things photovoltaic, the European Photovoltaic Industry Association (EPIA) has launched a new initiative entitled ‘Your Sun Your Energy’. This new campaign aims to promote the uptake of PV among the general public by providing information on the myriad advantages of solar energy and generally filling the knowledge gap regarding this most bountiful electricity source.
Launched in December 2010, the Your Sun Your Energy campaign provides objective
information on the workings and possibilities of PV energy via its new website, www.yoursunyourenergy.com. Covering a range of sectors such as Buildings, Telecoms, and Transport, and providing information in handy sections such as Your City, Your Business and Your Future, the portal is a composition of knowledge that “completes and complements information already available elsewhere”.
The new campaign has plans to provide the web resource in French, German, Italian and Spanish in the coming months, as well as an online forum that will encourage discussions and information, photo, video and link sharing among the online community.
