ET Solar's Germany-based project subsidiary ET solutions has expanded its presence in the UK ground-mount market by signing on to develop two projects for Lightsource.

The two projects – located at Upper Clayhill Farm in East Sussex and Church Farm in Buckinghamshire – have a total capacity of 10MW and will take ET’s portfolio of grid-connected, UK-based projects to 75MW.

ET Solutions has a previous track record with Lightsource having connected a similar-sized project to the grid back in September.

Dennis She, president and chief executive at ET Solar, said: “The UK leads European solar energy expansion with the largest annual installations in the past two years, and we have been growing with it.”

The deal comes amidst a rush in the UK to have ground-mounted sites up to 5MW in size connected to the grid before the 1.3 ROC deadline on 31 March 2016. As a result, a large number of European EPCs have been securing work.
