As part of its continuing expansion in the UK, EvoEnergy has appointed Nick Offer as Managing Director of its commercial business. Offer joins the team from Arup, where he led the team that developed the design for the 2012 Olympic Village. He was also the director in charge of the creation of the Shard, located at London Bridge.

EvoEnergy has grown by ~800% in under a year, and hopes that Offer’s intricate knowledge of the construction industry, following 25 years designing and developing commercial buildings, will serve as a pivotal point in the company’s further expansion into the commercial sector.

“These are exciting times and I look forward to my role and to continue making a difference in our industry. Solar PV has a big role to play as part of our way forward, we are only just getting started, good returns are driving change but the feed-in tariff and financial gains are only one element, we are forgetting to focus on the other gains, such as enhanced Energy Performance Certificates (EPCs), reduced energy bills and greater asset values,” said Offer.

Dr Kevin Hard, Chief Executive Officer of EvoEnergy said, “I am delighted to welcome Nick into the EvoEnergy team and to helping him accelerate the commercial side of our business.  He shares our vision and with his professional background and vast experience within the commercial sector, Nick will not only complement our strengths, but will provide great industry knowledge and leadership to the team.

I have great confidence and pride in our team, which is led by experienced industry professionals, all having a passion for solar technology and to helping our clients offset carbon emissions and to secure their energy future.”

EvoEnergy now has over 150 employees across five UK offices, with a head office in the Midlands.
