Foresight Solar Fund has announced that it has completed a further three solar farms totalling 39.6MW of new capacity.  

The company has connected a 17.8MW project in Swindon, a 12.2MW site in Chelmsford and a 9.6MW project in Calne – all operational and eligible for support under the higher renewable obligation certificate (ROC) banding of 1.6ROCs.

All three of the PV plants were previously identified in the company’s initial public offering prospectus. Foresight acquired the three projects from SunEdison for a total of £51 million.

The Foresight Group has more than £1 billion of assets under management, including its £150 million solar fund which includes a total of 55MW to be acquired from SunEdison and the UK’s largest operational solar farm, the 32MW Wymeswold in Leicester.
