Citing the UK as one of the most attractive markets for solar products in Europe, a leading German-based solar module manufacturer, Centrosolar has gained certification for its entire line of crystalline modules, including S-Class Deluxe, Excellent, Ultra and Professional modules under the Microgeneration Certification Scheme (MCS).
Having recently established operations in the UK, Centrosolar can now supply its modules to MCS approved installers.
“We see a tremendous potential in the attractive feed-in tariff offered in the United Kingdom, especially in the area of in-roof and on-roof systems, which are at the core of Centrosolar's business,” noted Simon Gerrard, Managing Director of Centrosolar UK Ltd. “We have spent much time and effort in thoroughly preparing for our entry into the UK market. Now that we have received certification, we are glad to finally start our activities.”
The certification process also includes an inspection of manufacturing plants to ensure quality control and product specifications.
Centrosolar has recently expanded and upgraded its 4 production lines in Wismar, Germany, making them highly automated and efficient. Overall capacity has been increased to by 45MW per annum to 200MW to meet growing demand in Germany and across Europe. This equates to 4,000 modules a day being produced.
