Renewable energy supplier, Good Energy Group has signed a 100% renewable electricity supply contract with international clothing retailer SuperGroup. The contract, which will begin on August 1, will see Supergroup’s 72 retail stores and all UK warehouses and offices powered by renewable electricity.

Good Energy is unique in the electricity supply industry by selling only 100% renewable electricity. Its standard electricity tariff is certified under the independent Green Energy Supply Scheme.

Juliet Davenport, founder and CEO of Good Energy said, “We are delighted that SuperGroup has made the decision to invest in renewable energy by working with us.  This is a significant new piece of business for Good Energy representing a sales increase of 3.5%.”

“SuperGroup is one of the fastest growing international retailers with several high-street brands to its name including Cult and Superdry.  It is fantastic to see how successful mainstream brands are now starting to demonstrate real commitment to a renewable energy future by choosing Good Energy.  We look forward to working closely with them in the future to help them make a difference to climate change.”

Chas Howes, Group Finance Director of SuperGroup said, “We are committed to reducing our environmental impacts across the entire Group and are delighted to be working with Good Energy to help achieve this.”

“Good Energy offered us value in a way that fulfils our need for competitively priced energy with meeting our desire to become a more sustainable organisation.  This agreement represents a paradigm shift for us as we move from being the customer of a large utility to being the partner of a renewable energy provider,” Howes concluded.

Good Energy will also be providing equipment and software to facilitate better energy management across the company.
